NutrixScan ("the App") provides AI-powered food image analysis, nutritional estimation, diet plan generation, and recipe suggestions. All features are powered by artificial intelligence and are intended solely for informational and educational purposes.
2. Medical & Health Disclaimer
NutrixScan is NOT a medical device, healthcare provider, or licensed dietitian. The nutritional information, calorie counts, macro breakdowns, health scores, diet plans, and recipes provided by this App are AI-generated estimates and may contain inaccuracies. This App does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
You should always consult a qualified healthcare professional, registered dietitian, or physician before making any dietary changes, especially if you have allergies, food intolerances, diabetes, eating disorders, pregnancy, or any medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice based on information provided by this App.
3. AI Accuracy Limitations
All nutritional data is generated by AI models analyzing food images. Results are approximations only and may vary significantly from actual nutritional content due to factors including but not limited to: portion size estimation, ingredient variations, cooking methods, regional recipes, image quality, and AI model limitations. The App cannot detect allergens, contaminants, or food safety concerns.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NutrixScan and its creators, developers, operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from: (a) your use or inability to use the App; (b) any dietary decisions made based on App data; (c) inaccurate nutritional information; (d) health effects from following AI-generated diet plans or recipes; (e) any unauthorized access to your data.
You use this App entirely at your own risk. By using NutrixScan, you acknowledge and accept that AI-generated content may be incorrect and agree to hold the App and its operators harmless.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to: (a) use the App only for lawful purposes; (b) provide accurate profile information; (c) not rely solely on this App for health or dietary decisions; (d) verify nutritional information independently when accuracy is critical; (e) not upload inappropriate, illegal, or non-food content with malicious intent.
6. Privacy & Data
Data Collection: We collect your name, email (via Google Sign-In), profile details (age, weight, height, dietary goals), food scan data, and daily nutritional logs.
Image Processing: Food images are transmitted to our AI processing service (Groq API) for analysis. Images are processed in real-time and are not stored permanently on our servers. We do not retain, share, or sell your food images.
Data Storage: Your profile and nutritional data is stored securely in Google Firebase/Firestore with industry-standard encryption. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services: The App uses Google Firebase (authentication & storage), Groq AI (food analysis), and Netlify (hosting). Your data may be processed by these services under their respective privacy policies.
Data Deletion: You may request deletion of your data by contacting us. Upon account deletion, all associated data will be permanently removed.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and branding of NutrixScan is the intellectual property of its creators. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App without written permission.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
